Here Is the answer:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;How/ When/ Why To OUTSOURCE &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We briefly touched on outsourcing last month but I feel it’s important to clarify some things because it’s my belief that many members still aren’t leveraging the work of others as much as they should.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ever since I became involved with the late Thomas Leonard who was a master in virtual delegation, I have always outsourced for the past 9 years. I have never done my own tax returns, book keeping, booking holidays and flights, web design, software implementation, printing, research, tele-sales, prospect follow up, sending out letters etccccccccccccccc. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;All the correspondence you get from me is via an outsourced office we have in Birmingham. &lt;/span&gt;If I had it my way the Advanced Marketing Pirates will have a practice that looks like this: All internal and external marketing done through web based Infusion Soft (software we currently use and manage from overseas). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This would mean your &lt;a href="http://www.addictive-marketing.com/newroirulesprivatedentist"&gt;dentist marketing&lt;/a&gt; gets sent out &lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;automatically&lt;/span&gt; via a virtual assistant (usually never ill and pays their own tax, doesn’t moan or gossip) and works without the distraction and opinions of staff members who think they know better about marketing than you do and never have the time to do it anyway. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;So reminder letter multi media sequences,&lt;/span&gt; birthday card mailings with offer of the month, monthly patients offers, thank you for referrals, tracking and measurement of ad campaigns, automatic patient rescue and recovery sequence and the list goes on. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you wish to remove yourself from your practice as you become more time conscious then outsourcing is something you seriously need to think about. We have made the mistakes of using most nationalities under the sun for our outsourcing. So you are in safe hands here. So let’s continue with some more advice…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You look at any successful person in business. They always have a team around them doing ABSOLUTELY everything that person hates or doesn’t have the time to do. Until you learn how to effectively delegate many of the monotonous responsibilities of your business, you will never achieve maximum success. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Outsourcing Tip:&lt;/span&gt; Read ‘The 4 – Hour Work Week’ by Tim Ferris, for some amazing and straight forward advice!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;When and What Should I Outsource For Dentist Marketing?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you’re not already focusing on the following advice, I really hope you will start implementing this information right away so you can be four times as productive as you currently are…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Any task that someone else can do that you can cost effectively pay to have done for you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are always minor exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, you never want to be wasting your time doing the work that you can afford to have someone else do for you..especially if they can do a better job.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Patient relationship building and retention starts with a newsletter. You get the monthly ‘Done 4 You’ Patient Newsletter.’ So that’s a start. Heck… we even given you a printer who can post it out for you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Glad that Millionaire member Matt Hawker sends out thank you cards for referrals. an email yesterday from MPOD Member Karen Sutton@ Beacon Dental, who has just opened a new practice. Patients are flooding in with Gedge Style Marketing For Dentists. And best of all she was busily typing away (Sunday) with her 1 year old on her lap. She wants to be a test lab for a new marketing service we’ll be offering later in the year. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, she liked the ‘personality marketing’ postcards that were featured in this month’s newsletter, and is going to take a snap of her 8 year old daughter to use as a postcard with her ‘sticky out’ teeth. I get emails like this everyday from Members who are starting to have FUN and enjoying dentistry again. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Easter, Mothers Day, April Fools are all running towards you faster than the speed of light and will be over before you know. Another opportunity missed. “Let’s do it next year.”… you say to yourself. Below 'Ten Tips To Claim Braggging Rights For Eco Dentistry.'&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It’s nearly eighteen months since I first wrote about “Eco Dentistry” to my uk dental marketing pirates of dentistry Members.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And it was purely as a uk dental marketing ploy to position yourself differently from traditional dentists. But it wasn’t until I recently read Branson’s book, ‘Screw It Let’s Do It’ that things started to change around here at our small holding in Spain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I do not take credit for the renewed green responsibilty… that is down to Cally. Usually Cally gets second dabs on what I read. And as usual her thirst for curiousity went even further and then bought Branson’s recommendations about climate change; Tim Flannery, The Weather Makers, and the DVD ‘an inconvenient truth, A GLOBAL WARNING’.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A woman of massive action she’s got me excited about making a difference and the responsibility we have for the future of our planet and our children. Cally said to me this morning over breakfast…” Our generation doesn’t understand the word climate because it was boring at school being forced to leran about the weather, but our children, a different generation can be tought young about OUR responsibility to the environment. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She further went on to say… “our parents were brought up around the time of mass consumerism from the 50’s where everything was available after war rations, which has led to a throw away society. “&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In our house and our BUSINESS we are recycling everything from paper to ink cartridges. Computers turned off, kids told to turn off bedroom lights to using less water for washing up. Our learning continues and after a party on Saturday a poster above the toilet; “it takes 6 litres of water to flush. If it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down.” And that’s what we’ve been doing at home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don’t know if you could do that in the practice, I hope you do. Cally set off to school with the kids this morning with barely enough diesel to get there and back. There has been a petrol strike here for a week which we were oblivious to as we don’t watch the news or read papers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The supermarket shelves were bare yesterday as a result. It’s time to change and for each of us to do our bit. Here are some questions to ask yourself about the responsibility you have as a business owner, parent and member of society.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you clean the practice with eco-friendly cleaning products?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are you recycling? What products are you ordering from suplliers that could be green?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have you set on your monthly staff meeting agenda…’Eco Dentist’ action points?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Branson makes a fantastic point in his book…” I could easily retire tomorrow but I have a chance to make a difference about climate change.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may think he should stop flying plains but he made the point if he did… someone else less responsible would take his place. You are getting paid to take care of people’s health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are you giving back to the planet for the profit you make? We understand this principle here and have struck up a relationship with the ‘Dentist Benevolent Fund’ to give back to the profession we take from.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When a nightclub owner I tried to set up a charity to provide extra beds in Leeds for detox after carrying my mother through the streets of Leeds from one hospital to the next, only to find a mere three beds available for a population of 750,00 in my quest to try cure her lifetime addiction to alcohol.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I do not know the annual figure the government makes from taxing alcohol or the profit breweries and related businesses make, but none of it gets put back in to help cure the beast we created. I then contacted all the bar owners in Leeds and big brands like Grolsch and Budweiser to see if they would put something back for what I and they were feeding society. As you can imagine my quest failed because if they would have contributed… they would have openly accepted they were creating alcoholics.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We will be taking our responsibilty seriously and giving you more articles in the Whole Tooth ‘Done For You’ Patient Newsletter, and tips on Eco Dentistry in the MPOD newsletter. But there is never a good time for anything. It does have it’s advantages of being an Eco Dentist though. There are only 106 pages in Google on “Eco Dentist” which means it’s wide open for you. Maybe Tibetan chimes and 'discovering your inner smile' may send some people running for a stern, old-fashioned dentist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But eco-dentistry ALSO makes sound business sense. When setting up their practice, the founders were told to not expect more than 10-15 new clients per month.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Instead, they've been drawing between 30 and 40 new clients per month, with some months seeing as many as 60 new patients. This is an organisation you may want to get invloved with. http://www.teleosis.org&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While watching Dragon’s Den the other night all Dragons refused to back a Chinese entrepreneur because his product wasn’t recyclable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Make no mistake, positioning yourself as an Eco Dentist is very attractive to new movers, existing patients and pushes your prices up. If you have no point of differentiation; this is the one to start shouting about to your patients and local media. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don’t wait to be crowned an Eco Dentist get an Eco Dentist logo made up as long as you can prove you are following these tips:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Use recycled paper wherever possible, in the office and in the loo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Use technology wisely, don’t send reminder letters until you’ve tried to phone, text or email, to reduce use of paper.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Educate the team to switch off unnecessary lights and appliances when not using them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Turn the thermostat down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Use energy efficient bulbs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. Recycle everything possible, take it in turns to do cardboard run to the tip if the council won’t collect the recycling waste from businesses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7. Compost your own garden waste, and use it to make your flowers lovely next year.&lt;br /&gt;8. Use local businesses rather than national chains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9. Fit the latest amalgam separating equipment to the surgery suction units, to reduce outward contamination.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10. Provide cycle racks and bus timetables. Encourage people to use public transport to get there (and be patient when they are late!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;11. Chuck out the plastic bags! Use hemp bags and give away kids goody bags in reusable paper bags.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;12. Tell your patients what you are doing, and why. Ask them for other suggestions&lt;br /&gt;We do all of these things. Last month in your Insert which arrives with your ‘Sat On the Shoulder’s of Giants’ audio interview, I featured ‘How to Attach Yourself To Celebrity Patients.’ Machester based Dr Lance Knight was looked at and has five top end practices. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He has teamed up with Sainsbury’s for a national roll out of his brand which is leveraging his celebrity association to Amir Khan and models Caprice and Danielle Lloyd. Dr Lance said to dentistry.co.uk… 'This new practice is aimed at making dental healthcare more accessible and convenient to better meet patients' needs. The surgery is open seven days a week making it a convenient option for those needing to see a dentist during the evenings or weekends. We hope to make the service available to many more Sainsbury's customers across the country.' &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what’s the lesson here? Well there are actually two. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, It basically means the giants of ‘foot traffic’ are giving their customers what they want “general and cosmetic dentistry at convenient and flexible times to suit.” I recently discussed “premiumising peak time appoitments” with a marketing Pirates Of Dentistry Millionaire Member.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It came about as we were brainstorming ways to add ‘extreme value’ to his Membership scheme… when he told me patients were wanting him to stay open longer. BINGO! You offer the peak times such as early mornings, lunch time and evenings, possibly Saturday mornings to your top tier first. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He liked the idea but didn’t want to work longer hours. Simple I said, “take the afternoons or mornings off when your least busy.” Re.Invent your practice around what your patients want. Do this and they’ll happliy pay premium prices for the priveledge of “convenience and flexibility.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Second lesson for UK dental marketing, Sainsbury’s are attaching their new dental service to their strap line “Try Something New Today.” &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I Tony Gedge wouldn’t be surprised if the brand team have studied, or even employed the authors and marketing consultants of the great book ‘Inside Her Pretty Little Head’. They discuss how women who are the main influencers in the buying decisions for health care etc are forever searching for Utopia. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And are constantly searching for the new in order to get closer to it. They go onto say, “ New developments and new ideas are not therefore an optional extra for the female brand, but a central and permanent part of it’s appeal.” So this goes in line with my argument that doing monthly offers, providing new (substantiated or get struck off treatements..thanks Charlie Ferber) new patient appreciation events and new added value to your patients Membership schemes. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This far more psychological in attarcting and retaining the female core buyer than you and I realise. For our male readers which is 75 percent of our Membership, read this book. And for our 25 percent of female Membership, also read this book.
